Advanced Education

The program aims to provide fundamentals that support productivity employment and provide a basis for life-long learning.

Specifically, its objectives are:

  1. To contribute significantly to the development of high level manpower in the IT Industry
  2. To improve the quality of IT faculty in terms of instructions, research and extensions.
  3. To promote quality IT education in order to equip students with critical thinking skills, good moral character and cultural values.
  • Master of Arts in Mathematics (MAMath)

The Master of Arts in Mathematics program is an ideal vehicle for a student with an undergraduate degree in mathematics and related courses who wanted to learn more on mathematical concepts on a higher level. This program is designed for those who are interested in strengthening their knowledge and understanding of mathematics. It provides students ample opportunity to learn concepts, ideas and skills in mathematics applicable to science and education.

Furthermore, the program caters to the modern development in mathematics which are reflected in the design of the graduate program, its internal structure marked by deep interconnection between its various branches, and its interdisciplinary nature with other sciences. With this program, the students will be provided with substantial background in the traditional foundational areas of mathematics, mastery of a mathematical specialty enhanced by a good choice of specialization and elective courses.

The M.A Mathematics program is designed to achieve the following objectives.

  1. To provide students with a progressive education sufficient to pursue careers in the academe, industry and government requiring mathematical skill and perspectives;
  2. To prepare the students for advanced studies in pure and applied mathematics, mathematics education, statistics or related fields;
  3. To provide training in conducting research in mathematics;
  4. To enhance competence in teaching senior level mathematics courses;
  5. To improved the quality of life of the community through extension programs.

 

Higher Education

 Bachelor of Science in Mathematics (BS MATH)

The program caters to the growing demand for professionals equipped with the important tools of mathematics and computing. With this program, ISAT U fulfills its role as a major catalyst for mathematics-based research, advanced studies, and professional and industrial leadership.

The program is geared towards the accomplishments of the following objectives:

  1. To produce competent graduates in the areas of mathematics and computer ;
  2. To promote researches in pure and applied mathematics and mathematics education ;
  3. To sharpen abilities of students to enable them to reach out to the community and satisfy the manpower needs of both public and private sectors; and
  4. To inculcate positive attitudes towards mathematics and computer education.

 

 Bachelor of Arts in Community Development (BACD)

The program aims to produce graduates who will help in the development efforts in eradicating poverty and in attainment of a better life for each human being in an equitable and just society. With this program, students will be equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills and attitudes to engage in development work within the context of people empowerment and sustainable development.

  1. To facilitate the development of socially committed, gender-sensitive, capable, and productive development workers;
  2. To advocate participatory strategies for social transformation and development, including the redistribution of economic and political means for achieving the aspirations of the majority of the Filipino people.
  3. To provide poverty-focused, people centered and gender responsive services in need, especially those at risk.
  4. To respond to the student’s aspirations for education uplift through praxis-oriented education that prepare them for service to the people.
  5. To instill Filipino culture in teaching, research and extension toward more relevant and accessible human centered sustainable and gender responsive development.

 Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS)

The program centers on the systematic study of computing concepts, theories and computation. The body of knowledge resulting from this discipline contains theories for understanding computing systems and methods; design methodology, algorithms, and tools; methods for testing of concepts; methods of analysis and verification; and knowledge presentation and implementation.

The program aims to:

  1. Provide quality, competent Computer Science graduate that can meet the needs of industry and society;
  2. Produce graduates who can respond to the challenge of a globally competitive information age;
  3. Produce an effective education in Computer Science discipline, principles and practices;
  4. Provide a solid understanding of concepts, theories and skills fundamental to the discipline of Computer Science as well as business analytic and service culture.
  5. Promote research, management, scientific studies and leadership in the field of computer science;
  6. Provide the keystone for today’s computer applications as well as the foundation of which tomorrow’s application will be based;
  7. Provide low-cost, quality education that will meet the demands of the IT industry; and
  8. Prepare students to become good leaders and responsive members of the society.

 

 Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BS INFO TECH)

The program gives more emphasis on the technological and applied aspects of computing rather than on theory. Information Technology encompasses both the hardware and the software that is used to implement computer based systems. Some of these areas range from software  design and engineering, networking, internet and the web, graphics and system programming.

The program is expected to:

  1. Provide quality IT graduates who can meet the needs of industry and society;
  2. Produce graduates who can respond to the challenge of a globally competitive information age;
  3. Promote research, advanced studies and progressive leadership in the fields of trade, industrial, scientific and technological education.
  4. Provide the knowledge in developing world class information technology products.
  5. Provide a solid understanding of concepts, theories and skills fundamentals to the discipline of information technology as well as business analytics and service culture.

 

 Bachelor of Science in Information System (BSIS)

The program intends to provide quality information systems knowledge and skills to students that intend to work as professionals software/system developers and IS managers; produce graduates who can respond to the challenge of a globally competitive cyber industry; and to promote research, advanced studies and progressive leadership in the advancement of information systems.

The program is expected to:

  1. Provide quality information systems knowledge and skills to understand that intend to work as professional software/system developers and IS managers;
  2. Produce graduates who can respond to the challenge of a globally competitive cyber industry; and
  3. Promote research, advanced studies and progressive leadership in the advancement of information systems.
  4. Provide a solid understanding of concepts, theories and skills fundamentals to the discipline of information system as well as business analytics and service culture.
